Kyobe Foundation is a registered non-profit organization in Mukono district of Uganda,the foundation is working to empower young girls and women in rural communities by addressing critical gaps in helping to provide needed life skills,coaching and access tosustainable livelihoods for hard to serve or hard to reach populations.As a result-based organisation, Kyobe works within marginalised communities and adapts localised approaches to hte women and young girls looking to transform their lives. The foundation is run by individuals from the area who are familiar with the barriers needing to be overcome.
In this month’s donor feature, we would like to recognise one of Kyobe Foundation’s biggest individual supporters Ms. Sandi Young who has a strong commitment to promoting gender equality, creating social change, creating impact and improving girls’ lives in different parts of Africa. Sandi has so far supported 1000 girls through our menstrual health campaign with 1000 reusable menstrual kits which helped create an environment where the girls managed their periods with dignity, focused on their education, stayed in school without hindrance. We are grateful for this collaboration.
